RE@L Blog's: "EdTech Thought for the Week! Vol. 2" - October 16, 2017
From time to time, Real Experiences at Life will post a “EdTech Thought for the Week.” Just a short phrase or sentence or two on relevant K12 EdTech topics, from STEM (popular and current) back to Archimedes (ancient and classic). Sometimes even a little productive humor will show up on our site.
We hope you enjoy these occasional terse and pithy quips. We hope it helps us all think more deeply and productively on how EdTech helps more learners learn more. And more teachers will teach more effectively, too.
This week for our quote we hark all the way back to the father of all quotes, Confucius, who say [see the graphic on the left]:
Good parenthood and the proper raising of our children is essential, or we, as a species, would never get wiser or more productive. A good and thorough education also passes on cultural essentials.
On a more modern note, we have the wise words of Malcom X whose quote [from the graphic on the right] supplements the wise words of Confucius.
Next, put these two fonts of knowledge together and you get what RE@L has believed all along: Our future as a culture lies with education. Our peace as a people requires it.
Education is an essential component in making all of this culture-passing from happen.
K12 education is what lights the fire of all future learning and our collective futures.
