RE@L Logo 60pxMuch is being made today of the need for a growing role of young women in the world of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics —- rightly so!  Sure there’s mention of STEM careers for boys, but not nearly enough mentioned for girls.

We applaud all the efforts focused on STEM activity for the young women in our schools. Simply put, there’s still not enough activity. kidsIPADYes, mentoring organizations for young women are timely today and opening up new career choices for girls. But, we need more. RE@L STEM icon_RGBMuch more! RE@L supports a global effort which motivates young learners to consider career choices in the real world of designing, building and operating businesses.  How about some facts: Many middle-school teens and “tweens” today are looking for opportunities to make some spending money. Let’s take a broader approach! How about finding a job now that can be built on a real-world business-building approach. Why not be a successful entrepreneur? We’ve got some good news for you from RE@L. Our “Babysitting Inc, Get Organized” app brings a lifelong building a business perspective to both boys AND girls.

Look around you, girls. More and more women are in leadership positions in the business world. Why? The skills of good business- building are gender-free and open to everyone who wants to learn more. RE@L Babysitting_GetOrganized icon_RGB Babysitting Inc, as an emerging business, has all of the characteristics of starting a business anywhere. Our K12 education system should encourage that kind of insight/perspective, but there is so little room today with all the standardized testing going on. Real Life Skills have been forced out of the curriculum today. RE@L wants to step up and help budding young entrepreneurs build a business. Learning must begin with the fundamentals. That’s what our Babysitting Inc, Get Organized does; fundamentals…and step by step.

What you learn in becoming an expert babysitter are the same base of skills that make you an expert entrepreneur in most any business. Business building skills are universal. First on the list is creating your own business plan. The fundamental concepts, activities and tools to do this are generated within the mobile app provided.  It carefully leads the budding business-builder through design, building a business plan and reinforces your skills all the way. Think of other services you can build with this app, too: lawn-mowing; pet care; snow shoveling, house sitting; your list could go on.
